Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his wife Aniko Levai on Friday held a farewell event for Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan in Budapest.
At the event, Xi thanked Orban for his invitation and arrangements and said he had a precious memory from the visit.
Noting that China is now advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through Chinese modernization, Xi said that China's high-quality development and opening up will provide more opportunities for Hungary.
China is willing to strengthen economic and technological exchanges and cooperation with Hungary to achieve more development fruits between the two countries and further benefit the two peoples, Xi added.
Xi said that he looks forward to maintaining close communication with Orban, leading the two countries to carry on their friendship and working together to turn the consensus they have reached into tangible results of cooperation.
"I have full confidence in the future development of China-Hungary relations," the Chinese president stressed.
Orban told Xi that Chinese enterprises have made important contributions to Hungary's economic development and urban construction, and many Chinese-built projects have become flagship projects and symbols of friendship between the two countries.
Noting that Chinese technology leads the world in many aspects, Orban said that Hungary stands ready to expand cooperation with China and import more advanced Chinese technology to help Hungary's national development and improve people's lives.
