China's independently developed AG600 large amphibious aircraft has completed its first nighttime flight test, according to the Aviation Industry Corporation of China. In accordance with the test arrangement, the craft took off from the national civil aircraft test-flight base in Pucheng County of northwest China's Shaanxi Province just before sunset. The flight, lasting around three hours, included a series of nine consecutive takeoffs and landings. The critical aspect of the nighttime flight test focuses on takeoff and landing, evaluating the aircraft's lighting system to ensure adequate illumination for the pilot without causing discomfort.
