May 1 saw commemorations for the world-renowned Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian, who passed away on this day in 1978.
Known for his captivating compositions that fuse Armenian folk melodies with contemporary orchestral arrangements, Khachaturian left an indelible mark in the world of classical music.
