The 108-meter-tall three-sided statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, or Guanyin, stands in the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone on the south coast of China's island province of Hainan. As a gem of Buddhist art and a landmark of the city of Sanya, the statue attracts lots of tourists from China and the rest of the world.
