Athletes fight for Olympic points at the 2024 Asia Triathlon Cup in China's Taizhou

From May 11 to 12, the 2024 Asia Triathlon Cup Taizhou and National Triathlon Champions Cup Series were held in Jiangyan, Taizhou City, China's Jiangsu Province. The triathlon is an important points race before the Paris Olympic Games as athletes fight to qualify for the Games. Hundreds of athletes from 12 countries and regions, including China, Australia, Kazakhstan, Ireland, and Iceland, competed in the event.

Ireland finished first in the men's Asian Cup, while Teng Yunfeng, a member of the China triathlon team, finished sixth. Poland's Roksana Slupek won first place, and China's Wu Qing won second place in the women's competition in the Asian Cup Excellent Group.

The triathlon series will hold competitions for the U19, U17, U15, U13 and other age groups, as well as mixed relay competitions on May 12. Check out the video for what to expect.
