An increasing number of foreigners have been visiting China for tourism, study and work. However, differences in payment habits have made some foreigners worry about using mobile payments in China. The Consulate General of China in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates hosted an event on Friday at the China Visa Application Service Center to dispel these concerns and further enhance the understanding of mobile payment scenes in China for visa applicants.

Ou Boqian, consul general of China in Dubai, attended the event and introduced the payment options in China to the applicants. She said China's mobile payment system is rapidly developing, with mobile devices supporting various scenarios, including communication and online payments.

According to the consulate, applicants from more than 170 countries have either applied for a Chinese visa or sought information about traveling to the country via the visa center in Dubai so far.

With an increasing number of foreigners visiting China, it is believed that they will better understand mobile payments and experience the convenience of living in China, Ou said. "You can simply enjoy your life in China," she told those present.

"Guide to Payment Services in China" brochures were also distributed to the applicants at the center.

The guidebook gives detailed explanations for foreigners about obtaining and using payment services in various scenarios, including bank cards, mobile payments, cash, accounts and digital currency.
