00:41

Flash floods from heavy seasonal rains in Afghanistan have killed more than 300 people and destroyed over 1,000 houses, the UN food agency said Saturday. Infrastructure, including roads and power lines, has also been destroyed, according to the International Rescue Committee. The World Food Program said it was distributing aid to the survivors, mostly the northern province of Baghlan, which bore the brunt of the deluges on Friday.
