Miao batik is one of the traditional handicrafts of the Miao ethnic group. Together with Miao embroidery and Miao silver, it has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in China. In protecting, inheriting and carrying forward the techniques of Miao batik, the local people in Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province have developed an industry revolving around Miao batik that promotes employment and increases people's incomes.
