A healthy adult brown giant panda was spotted in the Changqing National Nature Reserve in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, marking the second sighting since 2018. Zoologists attribute the brown coloring to a Bace2 gene mutation. These pandas are exclusive to the Qinling Mountains.
