The Israeli tanks on Tuesday started to enter the center of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, local sources said.
The sources told Xinhua that "Israeli army tanks arrived in the Al-Geneina neighborhood in the city of Rafah and were heading towards the city center amid heavy gunfire."
