China is ready to promote the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership to a new level, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks when co-chairing the fifth round of the Foreign Minister-Level China-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Beijing.

Dar is on an official visit to China from Monday to Thursday.

Both sides should strengthen cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, mining, new energy and information technology, and further promote trade liberalization through consultations, Wang said.

China will continue to strengthen coordination and cooperation with Pakistan in multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and jointly safeguard the common interests of developing countries, said Wang.

He hoped that the Pakistani side would continue to create a safe and predictable business environment.

Wang pointed out that China's determination to deepen cooperation with Pakistan will not waver, and expressed hope that Pakistan will continue to do its utmost to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel, projects and organizations in Pakistan, and eliminate the worries of Chinese enterprises and personnel.

China is willing to further deepen counter-terrorism security cooperation with Pakistan, he added.

Dar said Pakistan firmly adheres to the one-China principle and supports China in all issues concerning its core interests.

He expressed hope to strengthen cooperation in the fields of industry, mining, energy, information technology and connectivity, and to continue to deepen the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan.

He said the Pakistani side once again expresses its deep condolences to the Chinese personnel killed in the Dasu terrorist attack on March 26.

Pakistan will conduct a thorough investigation as soon as possible, resolutely bring the planners, funders and perpetrators of the incident to justice, resolutely combat terrorism, and do its utmost to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel and organizations in Pakistan, he added.
