To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy, Ye Wei, a ship model maker from Yangzhou, and his team spent more than three months building a miniature version of the Chinese aircraft carrier Fujian. The 2.1-meter-long giant model, made up of more than 1,000 parts, is stunningly lifelike. The carving, sanding, painting and assembly of the ship's hull is a process of brainstorming and a test of skill. As a ‘navy fan’, Ye Wei's biggest wish is to make and display more warship models so that young people can feel the progress and development of the Chinese Navy.
