09:58

In this exclusive interview with CGTN's Lucia, Ulla Nurmenniemi, executive director of FinnCham Beijing, and Timo Sysio, press and cultural counselor at the Embassy of Finland, talked about cultural exchanges between China and Finland.

"We organize events quite a bit. We organize also seminars and workshops, especially with local students and universities," Sysio said. "For us, public events are the best platform to connect to new groups of people."

As a frontline worker in cultural exchange between Finland and China, Sysio talked about some of the events they have held. He also shared his opinions about how to further strengthen the bilateral understanding between China and Finland and between China and Europe.

Nurmenniemi and Sysio were profoundly impressed by China's rapid development and the beauty of its traditional culture. Sysio said that in the future, the two countries could develop more cooperation in areas such as business and climate sustainable development, among others.

Meanwhile, Nurmenniemi said, "The speed of the development and progress in China is amazing, and coming to China to experience it firsthand will give everyone a deeper sense of what it is like."
