Police and pro-Palestinian protesters clashed Wednesday at the University of California, Irvine campus after students briefly took over a lecture hall. Police were called after demonstrators, demanding the university divest from Israel, blocked the building's entrance with a makeshift barricade. Police declared the assembly unlawful, cleared the building and detained a number of individuals.
