Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Beijing on May 16 for a two-day state visit to China. In Russia, CGTN spoke to political science expert Viktor Litovkin, who heads the military news editorial office of the Russian news agency TASS. He offered insights on Putin's state visit, the Russian people's views on China and the mutual benefits the cooperation between the two countries has brought to their people. Litovkin said cooperation between China and Russia indicates the possibility of the creation of a multipolar world where all countries are equal, respect each other and prosper together.
