The Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced Thursday that it has introduced the doubly labeled water technique into its energy metabolism center. China joins just a few countries in the world to have doubly labeled water technique-based labs. The study of energy metabolism helps better understand the state of the human body and take corresponding preventive and therapeutic measures against different conditions.
