Russian President Vladimir Putin paid a state visit to China from May 16 to 17. It marked his first foreign visit since being sworn in as president for a new term earlier this month.

CGTN Stringer took to the streets in Moscow to ask locals about their impressions of China and their expectations for future cooperation between the two sides. A local shares that he likes Chinese culture, saying, "We consider them our important friend since we have good relations, and the people there are also very friendly." Meanwhile, another resident hopes the two countries will always help each other and will always be like brothers.
