Nestled along the southeastern coast of China lies Fujian Province, celebrated for its abundant natural wonders.

Covering a vast sea area of 136,000 square kilometers, Fujian emerges as a prominent player in China's marine economy. Its coastline, stretching 3,752 kilometers, ranks as the second-longest nationwide. With 2,214 islands scattered throughout its waters, Fujian boasts a maritime landscape like no other.

The province hosts 125 harbors, among which 22 are deepwater ports and seven are natural harbors that allow the free access of 50,000-tonnage ships, constituting one-sixth of the country's capacity.

Fujian has extraordinary maritime infrastructure. With 80 berths tailored to accommodate ships of 200,000-tonnage and beyond and an extensive 3,000 square kilometers of sea ripe for tidal power generation, Fujian stands at the forefront of China's maritime development. Its exploitable tidal energy capacity of 10.33 million kilowatts comprises nearly half of the national total.

But Fujian's allure extends beyond its shores. Blessed with a lush natural landscape, it is hailed as one of China's four major forest regions. Forests blanket over 65 percent of its terrain, boasting a stocking volume of 608 million cubic meters. The province's bamboo forests, sprawling across 993,100 hectares, rank first in the country.

In Fujian, nature's bounty intertwines with economic prowess, forging a province that captivates both the eye and the imagination.
