International Day for Biological Diversity is celebrated every year on May 22. "Be part of the Plan" is the theme for 2024. This is a call for actions by governments, local communities, non-governmental organizations, legislators, corporations and individuals to show how they are assisting with the implementation of the Biodiversity Plan.
In December 2022, the world came together and agreed on a global plan to transform our relationship with nature. The adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, also known as The Biodiversity Plan, sets goals and concrete measures to stop and reverse the loss of nature by 2050.
China, as one of the world's most biodiverse countries, has taken various measures to preserve biodiversity. Additionally, China has implemented a series of policies and regulations to control the illegal wildlife trade, such as banning the consumption of wild animals and strengthening law enforcement efforts. Let's take a look at China's cute animals!
Protecting biodiversity is a global challenge that requires collective action from all nations. China's efforts in conserving its own biodiversity and contributing to international initiatives demonstrate its commitment to this cause. It is crucial for all countries to work together to ensure a sustainable future for all life on Earth.
