Russia's aviation authority said on Thursday it was imposing temporary flight restrictions on Kazan airport for safety reasons.
In a statement published on the Telegram messenger app, it said that flights in and out of Kazan airport were suspended from 1130 Moscow time (0830 GMT) on Thursday.
