Thiago Motta has been basking in the glory of his breakthrough season. At the age of 41, he has propelled Bologna to unprecedented heights, securing their first ever Champions League qualification in history. Fans have been thrilled by his team's captivating brand of possession-based football.

Motta's approach is characterized by an unwavering commitment to playing out from the back, showcasing his team's technical prowess, while also employing an aggressive pressing style when without the ball. His tactical ingenuity allows his players to express their talents to the fullest, leading to remarkable transformations in their careers. It's no wonder that the top European clubs have placed him firmly on their radars.

For weeks, Motta has remained coy about his future, leaving fans eagerly speculating. However, the suspense was finally shattered on Thursday. Bologna made the announcement that Motta has made the decision not to extend his contract, thereby granting him the freedom to depart at the end of June. According to reports from Italian media, he has reached an agreement with Juventus to assume the role of Massimiliano Allegri's successor.

Allegri, a highly successful figure who previously led Juventus to an impressive five Serie A titles, was dismissed by the club last week. The decision stemmed from the events that transpired during the Italian Cup final, where Allegri's conduct was deemed "incompatible with the values of Juventus."

Despite Juventus emerging victorious with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Atalanta, securing their 15th Italian Cup and ending a three-year trophy drought, Allegri's actions in the dying moments of the match led to his dismissal. In a burst of frustration, he removed his jacket and confrontationally approached the fourth official, ultimately resulting in his expulsion from the touchline. The incident ultimately proved to be the catalyst for Allegri's departure from the club.

Reports suggest that Juventus has presented Thiago Motta with an enticing offer in the form of a three-year contract, amounting to a substantial sum of 5 million euros ($5.4 million) per season. Furthermore, it is rumored that the club has guaranteed their support in the transfer market, commencing with the acquisition of Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori.

There is also speculation that Juventus may enhance the agreement by considering a potential move for Joshua Zirkzee, particularly amid ongoing negotiations involving the player's agent and Arsenal. The feasibility of such a scenario could gain traction if Dusan Vlahovic opts for a move abroad.
