Death toll in India's factory boiler blast reaches 11

The death toll from Thursday's boiler blast at a chemical factory in India's southwestern state of Maharashtra has climbed to 11, a local fire department official said on Friday.

"Four more dead bodies have been recovered this morning, taking the total death toll to 11," said the official, adding that more than 60 people were injured in the accident.

The massive blast took place in one of the boilers inside a chemical factory situated in Dombivli area of the state's Thane district, near the country's financial capital Mumbai.
