Israeli forces have escalated military strikes on Gaza, with planes bombing targets in the southern city of Rafah. This action follows the UN's top court, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), ordering Israel to cease its offensive there. Zhang Chuchu, an associate professor at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University in Shanghai, pointed out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is very likely to continue attacks in Gaza in attempts to further intensify the fragmentation of Palestinian territories.
