A tulou, or earth-built dwelling, is constructed using rocks as a foundation. With raw earth as the main material, supplemented by bamboo and wood as the framework, it is built through a process of intertwining and stacking, layer by layer. The beauty of the tulou lies not only in their form, but also in its harmonious integration with nature. They are often found nestled between mountains and rivers.
