Beijing Guoan defeated Nantong Zhiyun 5-2, while Chengdu Rongcheng trounced Qingdao West Coast 7-0 in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.

Fabio Abreu and He Yupeng quickly put Beijing ahead with two headers within eight minutes. However, Zheng Haoqian managed to score one for Nantong in the 23rd minute.

In the second half, Cao Yongjing extended Beijing's lead to 3-1, but David Puclin of Nantong responded with a long-range shot 10 minutes later. However, Abreu and Fang Hao scored in the closing minutes to secure a comfortable victory for Beijing.

"We had a great start today but didn't stay focused all the time. Our team needs to create more opportunities offensively and maintain the momentum," Beijing head coach Ricardo Soares said after the game.

In the match between Chengdu and Qingdao on Sunday, Chengdu's Wei Shihao, Felipe Silva and Elkeson each scored two goals, with Mirahmetjan Muzepper adding another, contributing to their emphatic victory.

Elsewhere, Shanghai Shenhua beat Shenzhen Peng City 1-0, Shanghai Port eased past Cangzhou Mighty Lions 4-1, Qingdao Hainiu clinched a 3-1 win over Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, and Changchun Yatai and Henan FC played out a goalless draw.
