China's Shenzhou-18 crew is getting ready for their first extravehicular activity (EVA), the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced on Monday.
The crew, composed of taikonauts Ye Guangfu, Li Cong and Li Guangsu, has been well prepared for this spacewalk, the agency said. A video released by the agency showed the crew checking their spacesuit, inspecting tools and equipment for the activity, training on the operation of the robotic arms, and wearing the spacesuit, all carried out inside the cabin.
The agency has not revealed which two of the taikonauts will conduct the EVA.
For the past 32 days they've been in orbit, the taikonauts have carried out a series of scientific experiments since they arrived at the China Space Station on April 26.
