At least 23 people are dead in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kentucky and Alabama after tornado-spawning thunderstorms struck the central United States. More than 110 million people in the country were at risk of severe weather on May 27. As the storms moved east, thunderstorms and high winds continued for a significant portion of the Eastern United States.
