The China Cultural Center in Kuwait hosted the Chinese Culture Experience Day on Monday, which featured captivating performances and a variety of experiential activities to help participants to feel the charm of Chinese culture.
Spouses of diplomats in Kuwait and local individuals attended the event.
Miao Haiyan, wife of the Chinese ambassador to Kuwait, invited participants to enjoy a diverse array of activities that highlighted the essence of Chinese culture. Xia Jianfeng, director of the China Cultural Center in Kuwait, emphasized the importance of enhancing cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
A visiting arts delegation from northwest China's Xinjiang presented a feast for the eyes with their performance of a traditional Muqam dance, hand drum dance, and folk songs, creating an engaging and enthusiastic atmosphere.

Kuwaiti participant Zainab Abualhassan shared her excitement about witnessing Chinese cultural performances for the first time. "It's very interesting," she said, "I really enjoyed today's event."
The guests also experienced various traditional cultural activities, such as fan making, hanfu costumes, calligraphy, paper cutting, and sampling Chinese dumplings.
"China is actually on my bucket list," Polina Dlamini, president of the International Women's Group Kuwait told CGTN, "I think it's such a beautiful country full of so much diversity, traditions, and colors. I am really looking forward to one day being able to visit China."

The China Cultural Center in Kuwait opened in September 2023. It is the first of its kind for China among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and aims to promote friendship and collaboration between China and Kuwait.
