Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been left out of the Belgian squad for Euro 2024.

Courtois, who is currently preparing for the Champions League final, did not make the cut, having missed the majority of the season with a torn ACL knee injury.

"Of course, he knows his body the best and it's something different to play every three [days], every four [days] during a tournament. So this is the last information that we take in consideration that he's not ready for the Euro. And of course then we planned with the players that are able to play," said Domenico Tedesco, coach of the Belgium national team.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will lead a rejuvenated Belgium side in Germany next month, with Axel Witsel making a comeback to add an extra dose of experience.

De Bruyne and Witsel were included in the 25-man list unveiled by Tedesco on Tuesday ahead of the tournament starting in Germany on June 14.
