China's Deep Sea No. 1 vessel has returned after completing its first manned deep-diving scientific research mission in the Atlantic. The vessel traveled over 57,000 kilometers, with the submersible Jiaolong carrying out 46 manned deep-diving operations in the Indian Ocean as well as the south and the north Atlantic. The research vessel had embarked on the expedition from Qingdao on December 17, 2023.
