China and Equatorial Guinea upgraded relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation as the two leaders met on Tuesday in Beijing. Both sides mentioned China's medical team assistance and friendship hospitals. Zhang Yongpeng, a senior research fellow at the Institute of West Asian and African Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, says China's medical assistance to Africa and friendship hospitals have benefited the local people.
