The 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) was a great success, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Thursday, noting that the two sides had in-depth discussions on accelerating the implementation of the outcomes of the first China-Arab States Summit and promoting the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks in Beijing while briefing the media after the meeting.

Wang pointed out that the most important outcome of the meeting was that Chinese President Xi Jinping announced on Thursday that China will host the second China-Arab States Summit in 2026, which will be another milestone in China-Arab relations and further lead the path for building a China-Arab community with a shared future.

The strongest call from the meeting was to firmly support Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate national rights, Wang said, adding that the 10th ministerial conference of the CASCF adopted a China-Arab states joint statement on the Palestinian issue, which expressed voices for bringing an end to the Gaza conflict as soon as possible and promoting a comprehensive, just and lasting settlement of the Palestinian issue.

The 10th ministerial conference of the CASCF adopted the Beijing Declaration and the CASCF execution plan for 2024-2026 as well on Thursday.
