At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is paying a state visit to China from May 28 to June 1 and attending the opening ceremony of the 10th ministerial conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.

CGTN Stringer hit the streets of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and asked the locals about their impressions of China. They expressed hope for higher levels of cooperation between China and Egypt, which was the first Arab and African state to establish diplomatic ties with China 68 years ago. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership. In recent years, exchanges and cooperation between the two countries have progressed significantly.
