The new visa-free policy for Chinese tourists in Malaysia has predictably seen a significant increase in travelers from China to the Southeast Asian country. As CGTN reporter Chen Tong discovered on her trip to the state of Melaka in southwest Malaysia recently, many Chinese tourists are drawn to the historical coastal area to experience the unique Baba Nyonya culture there – so much so that Bernama reporter Nor Liyana Zulkifli discovered a strong presence of the culture in China's Fujian Province.
