The UEFA Champions League trophy has arrived in London ahead of the final between Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund from the German Bundesliga at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
John Obi Mikel, a European champion with Chelsea in 2012, brought the trophy on stage at Trafalgar Square.
Real, the record 14-time European champions, have been unbeaten in four straight games against Dortmund, who won the Champions League title in 1997, including back-to-back wins in their most recent meetings in the competition's group stage in the 2017-18 campaign.
A giant replica of the trophy was exhibited outside the National Gallery, attracting fans to pose for photos ahead of the anticipated showdown. A five-a-side game was played at Trafalgar Square. London Mayor Sadiq Khan attended the event and posed for photos with a girls' team.
