The Netherlands would not object to Ukraine using Dutch-supplied F-16 fighter jets to strike targets inside Russia as a means of self-defense, Dutch Foreign Minister Hanke Bruins Slot said on Friday, according to the The Kyiv Independent.
She reportedly made the remark at an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Prague.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has demanded that its allies permit strikes on Russian territory using Western weapons.
So far, the United States has approved the use of American weapons by Ukraine on targets inside Russia, while Germany indicated on Friday that Ukraine can use Western weapons to target Russian positions near the Kharkiv region.
