Egypt is expected to host Israeli and U.S. officials to discuss the reopening of the Rafah crossing, a vital conduit for aid into Gaza. Azmi Hassan, a fellow at the National Council of Professors and a senior fellow at Nusantara Academy for Strategic Research, says the prospects for this meeting are bleak since Israel is controlling the Rafah border.
