Two people, a man and a child, have been found dead at separate locations amid devastating floods in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, local media reported Sunday, citing authorities.
The report said four women remain missing.
Parts of Kariega, a town north of the Gqeberha city under the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality in the province, are currently submerged underwater due to heavy rains that occurred on Saturday.
So far, 70 people were rescued overnight and a search operation is underway.
