Eighty candidates have registered for Iran's new presidential election, scheduled for June 28. The five-day registration process opened on Thursday in the capital, Tehran. The final nominees are expected to be announced on June 11, Fars News Agency reported. The election was brought forward due to the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash on May 19.
