The 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will be held in St. Petersburg from June 5 to 8.

The main theme of the forum is "The Formation of New Centers of Growth as the Cornerstone of a Multipolar World."

So far, over 18,600 participants from 139 countries and territories, including Russia, have been confirmed. The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in SPIEF 2024 with the honorable status of guest country, according to the official website of the SPIEF.

In 2023, more than 6,000 representatives of Russian and foreign businesses from over 3,000 companies located in 75 countries and territories took part in the forum held from June 14 to 17. During that time, more than 900 agreements worth a total of 3,860 billion rubles (around $43.2 billion) were signed.

"The unprecedented interest from foreign partners and the media shows that the Russian market and, in general, Russia's economic model of development and consolidation, against the backdrop of serious restrictions and pressure from the collective West, has shown its competitiveness. Multinational and multicultural, value-oriented Russia is becoming one of the growth centers of the emerging multipolar world," said Anton Kobyakov, adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and executive secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.
