Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has won the country's general election, according to preliminary results on Tuesday. The NDA is projected to cross the 272 majority mark in the 543-strong lower house of parliament.
