The remarkable appearance of the Kanas Tower Bridge in Burqin County, Xinjiang has made it an online sensation and has attracted many tourists to take photos. The European-style bridge spans 135 meters and has four 27-meter Gothic towers. On either side of the bridge stand two sculptures of elk, an animal that symbolizes ecological balance in the Kanas area of the county. This species of deer was also a means of transportation and sustenance for the region's former nomadic inhabitants, and it stands as a symbol of good luck to wish passers-by a safe journey.
