Catch this cultural spectacle on the waters of Tongren City in Guizhou Province. Over 160 dragon boats lined up in an impressive display, attracting numerous spectators in anticipation of the Duanwu Festival, which falls on June 10 this year. The sounds of drums, oars splashing and crowds laughing and cheering created a vibrant scene.

In 2009, the Bijiang District of Tongren City was honored with the title "Hometown of Traditional Dragon Boats in China." In 2011, Bijiang dragon boat racing was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. As of last year, 13 national dragon boat competitions had been held in Bijiang.
