The death toll from a fire that broke out on a fishing boat in the central Philippines late Wednesday night has risen to six, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Thursday.

In a statement, the PCG said six bodies have been retreived while six others survived the fire, of which one is critical due to a third-degree burn.
