A total of 288 civilians have been killed in the western Sudanese city of El Fasher since clashes intensified on May 10, a senior official said on Friday.
"The deaths recorded since May 10 reached 288," said Ibrahim Abdullah Khatir, director-general of North Darfur State's Health Ministry.
The number of the injured in the same period reached 1,300, most of whom were women, children and the elderly, Khatir added.
