Analyst: American democracy isn't working; people are driven by fear


A poll conducted by ABC News and Ipsos found that half of Americans think former U.S. President Donald Trump's guilty verdict was correct.

About 49 percent think he should end his 2024 presidential campaign over the result. Einar Tangen, a senior fellow at the Taihe Institute, said American democracy is not working, and its people are driven by fear and a sense of victimization as the politicians' narratives are irrelevant to the future.
