The 2024 Belt and Road Diplomats' Cycling Series was launched on Thursday in Beijing, amid the anticipation of hundreds of diplomats, international business representatives and students joining the cycling series across China.

Endowed with picturesque sceneries and rich cultures, the seven places that will host the cycling series are Changzhou in Jiangsu Province, Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, Leshan in Sichuan Province, Haikou in Hainan Province, Shanwei in Guangdong Province, Zhoushan in Zhejiang Province, and Beijing.

This year marks the 11th anniversary of the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative. The cycling series is expected to deepen exchanges in culture and sports sectors with the participation of international entrants.

The cycling routes will pass by popular landmarks – both natural and historical spots of the host cities – providing participants from China and aboard a good riding experience and a glimpse of local highlights.
