The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework was agreed upon by nearly 200 countries at a UN convention held in China's Kunming in 2022.

It set ambitious targets to protect 30 percent of the world's land and oceans by 2030.

Pepe Clarke, oceans practice leader of World Wildlife Fund International, told CGTN how the framework is helping with marine ecosystems and how China's role is driving stronger international cooperation.
