On Friday night, a large gala was held in Yichang, Central China's Hubei Province, the hometown of Qu Yuan. The performance showcased traditional Chu sacrifices, offering insights into the culture, customs and picturesque landscapes of Qu Yuan's poems through a romantic drama. The gala marks the beginning of this year's Dragon Boat Festival in Yichang. Over the next three days, dragon boat races, zongzi-wrapping competitions, poetry contests and other traditional activities will be held, attracting visitors from across the country to experience the festive atmosphere.
