China kicks off a three-day weekend with the "Duanwu" Festival, or Dragon Boat Festival, falling on June 10. Heated dragon boat races spurred on by drum-beating are one of the symbolic activities of the Duanwu Festival. Guangzhou's dragon boat races are especially well known.
